Our journey

CBR Beach Volley is extremely proud of our international beach volleyball players who are taking part of the FIVB World Pro Tour. 

With a complete overhaul of the performance program coming for the 2027 season, it is onward and upward for our group, but we also need to reflect on where we came from.

Year 2: 2026

Our second season on the World Pro Tour featured four international stops - New Zealand, Australia, Cook Islands & China.

The season opened at Mt Maunganui, New Zealand where both Lewis Jupp (playing with Tim Philippe) & Lavinia Tyrrel (playing with Mireille Smith) made our first ever main draw appearances. Nina repeated this achievement in Coolangatta by winning qualifiers again. 

In Rarotonga, we took four teams and made some progress. Nick Neshev & Noah Collins-Oldfield secured their first ever international win, while Tom Smith & Caleb Barnes were unlucky to go down to New Zealand in a tight match. Lewis & Tim couldn't convert their opportunities against Japan, but responded immediately the following week in Tahiti where they not only made main draw, but pushed through to quarter finals. 

During the off-season we had Lewis Jupp & Tom Smith take part in our first Challenger level tournament in China. Jack Rolleston made his debut with Max Edvardsson and Lavinia Tyrrel played in China & South Korea with Mireille Smith.

Year 1: 2025

Tom Attrill & Lewis Jupp made their World Pro Tour debut in 2025 at Mt Maunganui, New Zealand, earning a win over New Zealand in the first round of qualifiers, but going down to USA in the second round of qualifiers. 
Lewis also competed at Coolangatta, Australia with Ky Landers (WA) and Nuvali, Philipines with Felix Birke (NSW). 
Regardless it was a milestone moment in the pathway - the first step into international competition and the standards that come with it.
